Silk Wedding Videos – Cheshire Wedding Videographer bio picture
  • Welcome

Hi, and welcome to my blog.

My name is Tom Harrington and I proudly run Silk Wedding Videos.

I am also a fiancé to the beautiful Laura, and a parent to the almost as beautiful 'Hugo'- the world's smallest and cutest dog!

I adore my job and feel very privileged to do what I do. My films are true and hopefully full of emotion. :-)

The aim of this blog is to show you previews and highlights of some of the wonderful weddings we are lucky enough to film. I hope you like it!

Howard Wedding Video- Sandhole Oak Barn, Cheshire.

Alexandra and Matthew are about two of the loveliest people you could possibly meet and their wedding day was such a success! We were lucky enough to be asked along to capture their day along with our friend Jonny Draper.

The weather was perfect, the ceremony and speeches were fantastic and even the evening set off to a flying start with a great band. All in all, a GREAT day. Congrats guys!

Downes Wedding Video- Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire

Moh and John’s big day was so special, not only because it had all been organised in 7 days, (yes, 7 DAYS!) but also, as John said himself, that ‘everyone who could be there, were there to share their day’.

The day started with unexpected snow and quickly turned in to the perfect afternoon… It really was a great day all round!:-)

A huge thank you and congratulations goes to Cheshire Cat Events for full pulling off the impossible! Capesthorne Hall is a stunning venue and we always love it when we are asked to film weddings there.

Jarvis Wedding Video- Sandhole Oak Barn, Cheshire

Jon and Anna’s big day was so much fun to be a part of. We were lucky to be working with a couple of our great wedding buddies in Rick Milnes (light majestic) and Top Table weddings (the world’s greatest caterers!).

From the very start of the day I knew this was going to be a great wedding. Anna looked simply stunning in her dress and all the nerves and excitement of the bridesmaids and the bride, were clear to see. While I was filmed the bride’s parents house, Tom, the other Tom, was busy in the pub… filming the boys!:-)

The ceremony was held at Sandhole Oak Barn and the ring bearer was the brilliantly behaved Daisy- their pet dog! Once the ceremony was over the party began. What with it being St Patricks Day and all, everyone was quick to get in to the spirit of things. The awesome Grovy revolution were the band for the evening and the singing waiters were the surprise act during the meal. All in all, as hopefully the film will show, this was an amazing day and definitely one to remember!

Lewis Wedding Film- Midland Hotel, Morcambe

Well, where do I start with this one?… Simply put, this wedding was amazing!!

Hayley and Matthew were such great fun to work with and all their hard work really paid off. All those little touches and individual ideas they had made this wedding seem really special and personal to them. Hayley’s poem explains it best so I will leave it up to the film to let you know more.

This was the first time I have filmed at The Midland at Morecambe and I loved it. It was also great to work once again with the brilliant Jonny Draper.

Durkin Wedding Video- Radisson Edwardian, Manchester

Angela and Ryan must have knew their luck was in when they woke up on a winters morning in January to see all that beautiful sunshine! It was such a great day and the surprise of the sun really added to the atmosphere and helped provide some amazing shots, especially in the church.

The reception was held at the Radisson Edwardian which is such beautiful venue from both the inside and out.

The whole day had a great atmosphere and everybody was clearly enjoying themselves and I think the film reflects that.:-)
